Regulators Hired by Toyota Helped Halt Investigations
We just bought a Japanese-English dictionary and apparently, "Toyota" is Japanese for "Ford"
Feb. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Former regulators hired by Toyota Motor Corp. helped end at least four U.S. investigations of unintended acceleration by company vehicles in the last decade, warding off possible recalls, court and government records show.
Christopher Tinto, vice president of regulatory affairs in Toyota’s Washington office, and Christopher Santucci, who works for Tinto, helped persuade the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to end probes including those of 2002-2003 Toyota Camrys and Solaras, court documents show. Both men joined Toyota directly from NHTSA, Tinto in 1994 and Santucci in 2003.
While all automakers have employees who handle NHTSA issues, Toyota may be alone among the major companies in employing former agency staffers to do so. Spokesmen for General Motors Co., Ford Motor Co., Chrysler Group LLC and Honda Motor Co. all say their companies have no ex-NHTSA people who deal with the agency on defects.
Possible links between Toyota and NHTSA may fuel mounting criticism of their handling of defects in Toyota and Lexus models tied to 19 deaths between 2004 and 2009. Three congressional committees have scheduled hearings on the recalls.

Brian Austin Green behind on his mortgage
No one's safe in this economy. Maybe it's Karmic justice for 10 seasons of "Beverly Hills, 90210" or it's for stealing away our girlfriend, Megan Fox, from us. Or it's just a shrewd real estate move and he gets to maintain the title of "Luckiest Man in the World"
Brian Austin Green is more than $70,000 behind on mortgage payments for his home in the Hollywood Hills -- but according to his rep, it's all part of a calculated real estate move.
SunTrust Mortgage, INC has filed legal papers in Los Angeles which show Green owes $71,251.42 as of January 26, 2010. The docs show Green took out a $2,000,000 mortgage with the company in 2006.
According to the docs, SunTrust has begun the foreclosure process and has the right to put the house up for auction if Brian doesn't fork over the green.
But Green's rep says Brian has worked out a deal to get rid of the house in a "short sale" -- which means SunTrust will allow Green to try and sell the house for less than he owes in order to recover as much money as it can ... subject to the bank's approval.
It's unclear if the mortgage company imposed a deadline on the sale.

Rachael Ray: the Michael Vick of domesticity
We love Rachael Ray, she's like Smurfette before the dye job. But we can't really enjoy our fantasy of Rach serving us potato latkes wearing only an apron if we have to worry about Isaboo Tyson making us go Picasso
Peppy television host Rachael Ray has been dealing with a family crisis – her beloved dog Isaboo has been attacking dogs while out on walks and she fears she may have to be put to sleep.
Isaboo is the pit bull that has appeared on her show and whom she calls her “baby,” but the dog has had five incidents of violence with other dogs. The brown and white dog becomes aggressive even when on a leash and being walked by a dog handler.
The latest incident with her dog occurred in early February in New York City when Isaboo lashed out and ripped off another dog’s ear! According to an exclusive report in the National Enquirer, the dogs and their handlers were walking by each other in Greenwich Village when the attack occurred. “As the other dog walked by, Isaboo lashed out so quickly and ripped the other dog’s ear off before its handler could pull it away.”

The Microsoft "Snitch On Yourself" patch
We liked to recommend to you Apple, Linux, an abacus. Anything beats Darth Gates Inc.
Microsoft will introduce an update to Windows 7 in the coming days that will allow it to ensure users are running genuine copies of the operating system and have not used any activation exploits, or hacks, to defeat the company's validation process.
"The update will determine whether Windows 7 installed on a PC is genuine and will better protect customers' PCs by making sure the integrity of key licensing components remains intact," said Joe Williams, general manager for Microsoft's Genuine Windows program, in a blog post Thursday.

All Blohan had to do was get her ass on a plane to Vienna and keep the crackhead behavior to a minimum during the ball. Easy money. But since the ho's responsible gene followed her dignity out the door years ago, she missed her flight thus missing out on a paycheck. Doesn't this bitch watch The Secret Diary of A Call Girl? The first rule of whoring is to never be late for a call!

Hey, Blackwater, buy your own damn prostitutes
We "support single moms" too but we rarely charge the taxpayers for it

Obama and a Middle Class Tax INCREASE
We don't like this. We don't like this at all. We did not realize that "Change" meant what would be left in our wallets. We really trusted you, Obama girl.
Feb. 11 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama said he is “agnostic” about raising taxes on households making less than $250,000 as part of a broad effort to rein in the budget deficit.
Obama, in a Feb. 9 Oval Office interview, said that a presidential commission on the budget needs to consider all options for reducing the deficit, including tax increases and cuts in spending on entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

Google's googling You
It's true, the most intrusive company in the world is being intrusive. No surprise there. But did you know they watch you pee?
(NEW YORK) CNNMoney.com -- Google will now use hours of search history to target ads that users see when they search keywords on the site, the company announced in a blog post.
Previously, Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) targeted on a query-by-query basis; the site used only current search terms to match ads from third-party Web sites. For example, a user searching for "baseball glove" might see ads for baseball lessons appear on the top and sides of the page.
