She could overcome any obstacle except for the Sport Illustrated curse. No, seriously, we don't think there's any curse involved with the cover but there is with over hype. Though we do think it would make for an awesome Olympics seeing Vonn's buns in action. Will cheese (yes, cheese) save her Olympic dreams...and our wet ones?




VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Lindsey Vonn didn’t want to know how badly she might have hurt her right leg when she tumbled over her skis during a slalom training run in Austria nine days ago, so she refused to have X-rays.

“I didn’t want to hear that my shin was fractured,’’ the world’s best female skier said yesterday morning. “Because at the time, that’s what it felt like.’’

Until she takes a practice run today - her first time on skis since she sustained a deep tissue bruise when her boot jammed into her lower leg - Vonn won’t know whether she can race in Sunday’s super combined or even compete in the Olympics at all.
